Shattered Dresden Quilt

Dresden Plates in pink, yellow, and blue prints are pieced in various sizes for this throw-size medallion quilt. It’s just the right size for a throw quilt pattern, but if you have a large wall space, hang it up! It’s stunning as a wall quilt, too.

Finished Size: 60″ x 60″  |   Finished Blocks: 1 (24″) Large Dresden block; 12 (12″) Small Dresden blocks  |  Rating: Intermediate  |  Designed by Dodi Lee Poulsen

  1. I’m looking for scallop tool as well. Where can I find the tool used to balance the circle edge.
Carrie Sisk, the point turner and scallop tool the quilt designer used for Shattered Dresden Quilt are two different tools.

    1. Hello — here is the information for the two tools (point turner and scallop pusher):

      Point Turner and Presser (bamboo):
JP Quick Points Scallop Pusher Model S1.5: not available at ShopFonsandPorter, although it is currently available on Ebay. A quick Internet search should provide you with some options, as well. We’re working on offering this at and I will let you know if/when we get it in.

      Thank you for your comment!

  2. Looking for the template for the large Dresden. I watched this episode last weekend and really like this pattern. I thought she made her own template but wasn’t sure.
