2513: Patchwork Designs with Interesting Angles (Prairie Sunrise)

Episode 2513 Description and Preview

It’s all in the “angles.” Mary and Marianne Fons will present the techniques and the Tri-Recs template tools that helped create this earthy inspired design in blues, greens and creams. The hint of a beautiful “prairie sunrise” is found in the quilting of the background of this intriguing design.

Featured Quilt: Prairie Sunrise

Prairie Sunrise Quilt

Prairie Sunrise is aptly named for the quilting that was done on this quilt. Marianne Fons designed this patchwork quilt pattern with angles as the focus. Take a closer look at this quilt, and you’ll see that not all quilt blocks are alike! The angles and quilt blocks in this quilt come together to create interest, making this quilt truly one-of-a-kind.

The quilt was designed and constructed by Marianne Fons and quilted by LuAnn Downs. It is featured in the Love of Quilting May/June 2015 issue.
