To commemorate and honor our soldiers on Veteran's Day, the Prairie Rose Quilters, chose to make valor quilts for our wounded soldiers returning from service. I chose Flag Day from the July/August 2008 issue of Love of Quilting. It was more challenging than I thought, but with every stitch I took I remembered those we were honoring. I made this quilt in honor of my father, George L Hayden, a WWII veteran, shown with me in the picture holding the quilt. Thanks so much for the great patterns and instruction in your magazine.
