When I saw Dave's Irish Chain in the March/April 2008 issue of Love of Quilting, I knew it was the right pattern at the right time. My son's best friend, Tyson, was getting married and loves the Celtic theme with rich shades of red, gold, and green. I added appliqued Celtic knots in the center of five squares and free motion quilted an overall pattern of spirals to complement the spirals in the fabric. It was a big project, but the instructions were easy to follow. Thank you for all the years of inspiration, your practical advice, and your enduring love for the art of quilting.
