I made a sawtooth star baby quilt for my first granddaughter to match her star-themed bedroom. When my second granddaughter was expected, I needed another star-theme quilt for her. I was happy to find your July/Aug 2007 issue of Love of Quilting, featuring stunning star quilts! I chose Birthday Stars for the challenge of using your freezer paper technique to create unique stars without using templates. I added orageg and blue to the yellow and green for a bright colorful quilt. Nancy Webster of Grayling, MI machine quilted it for me. I really enjoy your magazine and always look forward to receiving it. I save every issue for future reference and it came in handy!
