When my brother and sister-in-law announced they were expecting twin boys, the search began for the perfect quilt pattern. I knew I had found it when I saw the Old MacDonalds Farm quilt featured in your Kids Quilts Summer 2010 issue. I purchased the pre-printed panels and all over animal print online and finished my fabric selection at my local quilt shop. With previous quilts Ive made, I did very basic machine quilting; however, for these quilts I decided to try stipple quilting. I had not attempted this before but was up for the challenge. I started with my unthreaded machine and plain white paper and practiced. When I was comfortable with that, I moved onto scraps of quilted fabric with contrasting thread. At that point I was hooked! I had so much fun making these quilts for these adorable little boys. I know as my nephews get older they will love their quilts a
