My son, Andrew, and I chose music prints for this quilt to celebrate his high school graduation and move to Northern Illinois University where he studies piano and voice.  The pattern is Ethos by Toadusew Creative Concepts from the May/June 2008 issue of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting. The extra black border is quilted with music staff lines and treble clefs.  The blue spaces are embroidered with the names of Andrew's favorite composers, pianists, and other people who have inspired his love of music.  It was an enjoyable project and collaboration.  Thanks for the inspiration and the wonderful pattern!
