After a friend passed away, I offered to make a quilt for her husband using her clothing. I knew Ingrid had a penchant for bright colors, but when I received the bag of clothes selected for the quilt, I realized what a challenge I had. I didnt know how I could ever coordinate the mix of colors (and fabrics) to make a presentable quilt. When I received the May/June 2009 issue of Love of Quilting and saw the Sgt. Pepper pattern, I knew that was what I was looking for! I used Ingrids picture in the center and also added photos along the sides. When her husband saw the finished quilt, tears ran down his cheeks.
