When Liz came to Shenandoah, IA to put on a quiting workshop, I purchased the Fons & Porter book Stars and Stripes Sampler. Over the years I would buy fat quarters of star material for Liz's Lucky Star Quilt and would assemble a few blocks at a time. The quilt is machine quilted with a star motif. When my grandson, Ian Norris, became a third generation Eagle Scout I gave him the completed quilt. He was thrilled!
