My granddaughter, Katie, wanted to make a quilt for her sister, Shelby's 16th birthday. She was looking through my Love of Quilting magazines and found Squares and Stripes (May/June 2009). She close all the fabrics and came to my house to sew so the quilt was kept a secret. It was a great way to spend time together and pass on my love of quilting. She made it in time to enter it into the San Diego Quilt Show and she won a blue ribbon. Thank you for your great magazine!
