My granddaugher, Amara, and I share a love for the Birds of Paradise flower which grows abundantly in California. I found some beautiful material depicting this flower and while going through some past issues of Love of Quilting I also found the perfect quilt to make using the fabric. In the March/April 2005 issue was a quilt called Summer Song that was made using Triangles on a Roll. This was the first time I had ever used this quilting tool and what a difference it made. This is the most precise quilt I have ever sewn.
