I have been sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching all my life but only in the past couple of years I was exposed to American quilting. I have been learning how to quilt from my neighbor and friend, Etelka. She visited the United States and fell in love quilting. She made many of your quilts. This is a small version of the Moroccan Tiles quilt from the March/April 2007 issue of Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting. Etelka was teaching me how to cut, piece, and handquilt using the leftover fabric from her kit. It came out really beautiful. I think I am hooked for life.
