Lithuania native Regina Benson has lived in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains for many years, and is continually inspired by the landscape and vast sky around her. Her love of science and her skill with surface design are combined in this image of one planet having a simultaneous view of three suns during its orbit. Regina hand-dyed and discharged cotton and silk, pieced and hand-appliquéd the top, and finished her quilt with free-motion embroidery. She exhibits and lectures both nationally and internationally.
