Talent and creativity abound in the Art of Quilting feature in Love of Quilting.

24" x 24", 1998
Charlotte Warr Andersen made her first quilt, a Log Cabin, in 1974. Since then, she has specialized in appliquéd and pieced pictorial quilts, such as this one of her dog Scruffy. Charlotte describes him as adorable, full of himself, and not the brightest pup in the park. Scruffy would rather go for a walk than eat, so she made this quilt depicting him exerting his telepathic force on her to go out. Charlotte hand-appliquéd and machine quilted Scruffy, adding a bit of lamé and embroidery to enhance the top. Charlotte is an award-winning quilter and author who teaches and lectures all over the world. She lives in Utah with her husband, two of her four children, and three dogs.
