Baby Quilt 2007 Contest Winners

Special occasions, such as the birth of a baby, inspire us to make a quilt (we know that many quilters got their start by making a baby quilt!). Since every quilter needs a baby quilt from time to time, we thought it was a good idea to help you get your creative juices flowing by sponsoring a baby quilt contest!

The rules were simple: Make an original design baby quilt of your choice, quilt it, and send it off to Love of Quilting.

As a little incentive, winners of the contest could receive a brand new Bernina Activa 230 PE sewing machine, a collection of Fons & Porter books and notions, 50 fat quarters from Maywood Studios, or a Sweet Sixteen pack from Maywood Studio. The response to our baby quilt contest was spectacular! We received hundreds of quilts—so many that choosing the top three was a challenge. You can learn more about the winning quilts and several Honorable Mention selections are below (you can click on the photos for a larger image of the quilts). Congratulations, winners!
