I fell in love with Sarah Hahn's Key Lime Pie pattern in the summer 2012 Easy Quilts magazine. As I was studying the pattern I suddenly saw a possible Quilt of Valor. So I took the pattern to my EQ7 and created the pattern as a 30-inch block, added the 3 borders and colored it in red, white, blue, and gold. I used a fussy cut eagle for the center of the block. The resulting quilt top is made from a mixed selection of fabrics from different manufacturers and took only one day to complete. It will be bound in binding made from the red, white, blue and gold fabrics.
