A Variation of Christmas Cardinals

I had been looking for a pattern I could use with my bird themed fabrics and when the Nov/Dec 2011 issue of Love of Quilting came, I knew right away I could make Christmas Cardinals. I made two of the wall hangings and put them together with a border to make a throw size quilt for my mom for Christmas. It was machine stitched and hand quilted.
