And lastly, congratulations to Elaine Mast of Sugarcreek, Ohio, the winner of the 2007 Fun Quilts/Easy Quilts Contest announced in our Fun Quilts for Kids of All Ages issue. Her prize package was an assortment of fabric and notions valued at over $500. Prizes were donated by Avlyn, Windham and Quilting Treasures, and Fons & Porter. “How exciting it was to receive notice that I was your contest winner. What a bright spot on such a cold and snowy winter day! Love of Quilting is my favorite quilting magazine and I’m checking the newsstand weekly for the next issue of Easy Quilts. I also catch the TV show as often as I can. I am the assistant manager of a quilt shop and we often talk about projects and techniques that we see featured in your magazine, we also find it a valuable resource for new trends.” Elaine is a wife and mother of three, currently living in the heart of Ohio Amish country. She enjoys the creative process of both sewing and quilting. She enjoys working on smaller projects like wall hangings or baby quilts, purses, totes, and accessories. She also works on full-size quilts when she has the time. Her favorite part of quilting has always been in the design work and in the selection of fabric. Congratulations, Elaine, and Happy Quilting!
