Description: Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center is hosting its first quilt auction to raise funds for its capital campaign. The auction consists of two concepts - a silent and live auction. The silent auction will be open from 2-4 p.m. on October 6, 7, and 8, where the public can preview quilts displayed at Zephyr Point and bid silently. A live auction will follow on October 12, with viewing beginning at noon and live auction at 1 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee for the live auction which includes light refreshments. Quilt types range from full-size quilts, quilt minis, placemats, pillow cases, and much more. All quilts were graciously donated to Zephyr Point for the Fresh Horizons campaign, and all proceeds from the auction will benefit this cause.

Description: Winter will mark the largest exhibit of African Folklore Embroidery fiber and quilt art that California has ever seen. Curated by fiber artist, teacher and author, Leora Raikin, it will feature the completed work comprising African folklore Embroidery pieces incorporated into quilts, books, wall-hangings, pillows, table runners, bags and wearable art. The exhibit with over $500 in cash prizes is in its fifth year. The vibrant colors and beadwork of African Folklore Embroidery will be in spectacular display in a special exhibition at Road to California.
