Autumn has a certain scent unlike any other time you are not in a rush to get any planting done for the harvest has come in. Autumn is the time to prep your sewing room, your kitchen and your home for that rush of Family gatherings that are coming. Autumn is the time where we begin to think of all our blessings and we are content to stay at home rather than go to the lake, beach, or shopping mall. That is what I love about Autumn,

My favorite thing about fall is the beautiful rich colors the trees become. It was also the time when my family and I used to spend time at the carnivals and pumpkin patches around town. Not only that, but I love the weather fall brings and the delicious pumpkin pie!

Well living in the desert fall mean’s cooler weather, some rain and the wonderful smell that comes with the rain, it’s also a great time to spend sandwiching and quilting quilts getting them ready to bind in the winter months to keep warm.

Fall is a quieter time. The rush of summer is over, but there is still lots to do. The weather is mellower and things are cozy. Great time for a quilt!

The Pacific Northwest in the fall means trees turn to beautiful shades of orange, burgundy, yellow and browns. And the weather makes you happy to be inside quilting a project for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!
