Quilts of Valor & Patriotic Holidays

The Fourth of July is fast approaching, and it’s a good time to make a Quilt of Valor for a special someone. I’m making a new one for Love of Quilting’s Jan/Feb 2016 issue—watch for it! This is the perfect time to stock up on patriotic quilt kits or back issues of Love of Quilting and more!

Can’t decide what to buy? We’ve asked our editorial team to hand pick some of their favorites for you!

Two of our most popular Quilts of Valor, the In Honor Of quilt and Three Tours quilt. Both use red, white and blue quilting fabrics to inspire your love of quilting…and country!

  1. Today, July 4th you spoke about a type of shiny fusible, but I didn’t get the name or the proper use. Also your sales didn’t list a shiny fusible, it must be fusible on both sides, right? You were using it to make owl appliques, and I’d appreciate knowing more about it.
It was the first time I had seen your show as I don’t usually turn the TV on early, but I learned a great deal, enjoyed it and will watch every Saturday. Thank you

    1. Hi Charlotte, so sorry for the late response, but I’m hoping for better late than never! I believe what you’re looking for is Baby Lock No-Show Mesh Fusible Stabilizer – 1.5 oz Medium White. Thank you for watching – we’re so pleased that you enjoyed it. We certainly do! 🙂

  2. Usually I do not read post on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very pressured me to take a look at and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, very nice post.

  3. I used the Three Tours Quilt as my inspiration for another quilt. I turned it, so the blocks run along the sides, the blocks have an applique in them, no star blocks, and on the inside I have only 6 blocks. Also different colors & size.BUT! This was my inspiration.I am donating this quilt for an auction to raise $ to help others. Am I in trouble? I have heard a lot lately about copyrights, etc. Now I’m a bit afraid! Help??

  4. Hi, I am in process of putting together Three Tours. I made an oopsee on the white print and do not have enough to finish. I need 1/4 yard of the white (with taupe squigglies) I need 3 3″x42″ strips, 1/4 yard. Hoping you can help. I sent an email about one week ago but haven’t heard back. Not sure where it went. I’m of course happy to pay for material and shipping. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thank you, Peggy Higgins
