Comfort Pillowcases for Sandy Hook

Like the rest of the nation, we sat and watched in horror at he events that unfolded in Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012.  We wanted to help, but not sure how.  We received an email from Patrick Lose today asking if we would help spread the word of Comfort Pillowcases for the kids in Sandy Hook.  Two local quilt shops are trying to collect a pillowcase for each of the 700 students in the school.  If you would like to make a pillowcase or 2 for the kids, please send to one of the quilt shops below.

I’m too far to go to the stores for the pillowcases…This is a great idea…I live in Canada and I know the laws are a lot different up here…but it felt so good so know that like always the quilters are there…to lend a hand…and some basic comfort…way to go quilters….Keep up the awesome work…those children need people they can count on….

I just hope they find a good home with children who need our support. Glad to help.
