I am guessing since MaryAnn and Liz are no longer doing the show together that the Fons and Porter part has been left off and now it is just Love of Quilting? I never look at the title cause I am too busy looking at the beautiful quilt on the front cover!!!!!!

Prior to September/October 2002, the title was “For the Love of Quilting”. The “For the” was dropped on the September/October 2002 issue, used on the November/December 2002 issue for the last time and then dropped for the January/Februray 2003 issue and hasn’t been used since.

I’m with y’all here. I don’t have a 2002 nor the 2003 Jan issue so I am just going to comment that whatever date it was It must be ok and working.
Fons and Proter are still working partners, Liz Porter has just taken a break from the TV shows.
at least that is what was said during the first show of series 1600 with Mary Fons helping her Mother Maryann Fons.

The way I see it, the magazine was ‘Sew Many Quilts’ starting with the March/April 1996 issue.
Then the name was changed to ‘For the Love Of Quilting’ starting with the July/August 1999 issue.
The magazine name was changed to it’s current name, ‘Love Of Quilting’, starting with the January/February 2003 issue.
All versions of the magazine have always carried the Fons and Porter names.
The point is, we don’t care what you name the magazine, we still LOVE the QUILTING and the magazine!!! Thanks for so many great years!

Had to dig a bit through my archives, but, found the answer sitting on my shelves. So, very glad the magazine has become more available over time. The old “Sew Many Quilts” issues were hard to find and for me could not find them in the metro area where I lived but in a small town close to our lake place.
