I agree on the pattern. Yellow Brick Road is easy and makes a wonderful size lap quilt to donate to worthy causes. I do that alot.

Having arthritis problems in my neck – every vertebrae is surrounded by arthritis, have to go through physical therapy and use a electric current device around my neck. I think i would make a quilt for my cousin….she has helped so many of us who live away take care of our parents when they needed help…..i could not list all she has helped when our small town residents were old and passing away….she moved home to retire but God had other plans for her and she has really done the job for him…now she is not feeling well and she is still helping take care of our Aunt in another small town about 60 miles away….my cousin is a Saint I believe……

My daughter lost her 22 mo. old son and I’m trying to create a “sanctuary room” for her. I made one “Faith” wallhanging for her and it matches those beautiful fabric colors so well. They are calming, soothing and healing. It would be such a blessing to make a beautiful prayer shawl for her, and maybe some pillows for the room.

I am finishing a donation quilt for “quilts for the injured solders, and I think I would make another quilt to donate to our American Veterans. We have a group that is making quilts, and last year the organization delivered over 300 quilts to injured men and women at Walter Read, and the navel hospital in Virginia. I would add some if necessary to make more than one.
If I won these gorgeous fabrics I would make a lap quilt for my sister while she’s on the chemo machine & a lap quilt for a friend for when he has to have dialysis. l’m a transplant from the rainy British Isles now living in drought-stricken Dallas, Texas and those incredible fabrics inspire me to make something watery — a seascape I think. I’m a beginning quilter. The other day my aunt, who has been like a second mother to me, said she wished she had a “Nanny” (her mother, my grandmother) quilt. All of hers were used until they wore completely out. If I had those beautiful fabrics I would make her a quilt.
If I were lucky enough to win one of these gorgeous sets of fabric, I would make a quilt for my friend, whose husband just got stationed at an army base far from where my husband and I are going. I am going to miss her terribly and I want to do something special for her. She helped me be strong through my husband’s first deployment to Afghanistan.

Those colors look like water to me, so I will be doing a “STORM @ SEA” quilt.
Think of the Atlantic Ocean during a really bad storm with a ship being thrown around and the waves slapping the side of the ship. Maybe some grays at the top of the quilt done with strips for clouds. and the monkey wrench blocks between the strips and Strom as the waves that are done in both the gray and green and blues.

Just as I do with all new fabric, I would spend lots of time feeling the fabric and imagining exactly how best to use it. Sometimes I dream about the perfect project. Other times I find inspiration in a magazine or other media that is the “one” I want to make. Such fun having new fabric!

With my fabric i will make 20 lap quilts for a localnursing home. Last year i made 16. Rather than take a name off a tree, this is my way of giving to the elderly. My income is VERY low, 650$ a month, so the extra fabria will really help. Just finishing up with 30 (yes 30) cuttle quilts for ‘Quilts for Kids’. I think those fats would make a lovely backdrop for some floral applique. I’ll raid my batik stash to make the flowers, maybe add a butterfly or bird (or two or three). As for the size, that will depend on what I have available for boarders and/or sashing. With spring just around the corner, maybe I’ll just do a wall hanging.

I can always use another fat quarter to make quilts for children in crisis situations. I currently am making quilts for an organization that works with abused and neglected children. My next group will be crib quilts for unwed mothers who are giving their children up for adoption. So a fat quarter, jelly, or yardage will always be welcome on my shelves.

17 years ago I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer with unknown primary site. After surgery I endured two months of radiation which knocked the life outa me. I am a nurse and was no longer able to work. A single mom, 3 of my 4 kids still dependent. My sister took us all into her home for several months while I was going thru this valley. I had no income during that time, and have since been on disability, so money is limited. I have been trying to collect enough fabric to make my sister an appliquéd quilt to show her how much it meant to me to take us all in during a very difficult time. These are her colors!! By the way, 17 yrs cancer free! Yay!! Thank you Lord!!

I just found a quilt pattern for batiks that would work perfectly for these. The colors have to vary from light to dark in a single colorway and there should be subtle to no pattern.

I would make a wallhanging for my 86 year old mother who has had some bad falls, and is unable to sit long enough to do much sewing any longer. She loves the blue shades and her house is decorated in blue tones, so a wall hanging with these colors would really brighten her day. These are my favorite colors. I would have to see the fabric, hold it, feel it, put it down and come back later to decide what pattern to use.

That’s some beautiful fabric! If I win I would use it in a family project I’m starting. I will be making a quilt consisting of fabric pieces with hand prints that will be made with some really nice metallic fabric paint. I’ve just about finished getting all the paint but have not started collecting the fabric yet. Hopefully I’ll get hand prints from most of our extended family members from all around the country.

I already know what I would do with those beautiful fat quarters! My husband and I really need a quilt for our bed! I would do a traditional star pattern but make it look scrappy. Right now we have 2 non matching blankets on our bed that have seen better days! It is actually embarrassing. We have decided on blue for him and greens for me. This would be the perfect start! I have only made one quilt for myself and it is a christmas themed quilt. I would love to start one for us that we can use year round!

If I am lucky enough to win these beautiful batik fabrics from Hoffman, I would make either a Judy Neimeyer’s paper pieced quilt or a Cheryl Phillips pattern, a quilt without corners.
Those fabrics seem to say calming and peaceful like the beach or mountians. A warm & beautiful log cabin would be perfect with those gorgeous fabrics.
I am new to quilting and would love to use this in a “not so hard to do but still beautiful quilt”. It would be perfect.
Would probably make it into a tote bag, or even use part of it seeing it is greenish fabric in tree skirts which I have made before with lots of strips of fabric in them.

They are beautiful that I want to swim in them! They make me think of a beautiful ocean with a sandy beach just waiting for you to come and enjoy! I could spend hours just looking at them and touching them and dreaming what I could make with them. The patterns and quilting designs swirling through your mind would be enough to make you giddy and be nearly swoon! Oh the joy of new fabric in loads of beautiful colors and designs. Be still my beating heart, we must wait and hope and pray that those beautiful fabrics will soon be ours!!!!!

These colors make me think of beach glass. I’ve seen a quilt pattern called “Beach Glass” that I think would be fun to try. I love these colors! I’m a Batik addict so this bundle would feed my need for batiks as well.
My Aunt Marge who passed away several years ago always said green is God’s neutral so I would use them in a quilt in her honor.

The fabric is beautiful. I would use it for wall hangings for my daughters for which I have ordered the pattern.
I would thoroughly enjoy looking for the perfect quilt pattern to use with these fabrics. For me there are 3 phases of enjoyment to quilting. The hunt for the perfect pattern, putting the quilt together, and then admiring the finished quilt.
I use these fat qtrs to make a minature quilt. I’m doing a series of mini’s and matting and framing them to use as gifts through out the years (eg.) house warming, hostess, thank you gifts as well as get well gifts. Hoffman are my all time favorite fabrics…the hand of them is wonderful! Thanks for the chance!

I would first, unfold each one and carefully spread them flat with my hands, mostly to feel them, then I would carefully fold them back up, and admire the subtle colors. I will not want to cut them up but my mind would send me a clear picture of a finished quilt. Then I would start cutting and arranging and sewing and have a WONDERFUL TIME until my master piece was finished. I love to dream.

Every year for the last 4 I have made and donated a quilt to out local volunteer ambulance squad. I have promiced them 5. I would use if for next years quilt. It would be beautiful. I have the pattern picked out. We live in a small town of about 480 people 70 miles from a Regional Hospital and our ambulance is VITAL! We make about $1100. a year on the quilt. I could use it! If I were given these fab fabrics, I’d sit right down with all my dog-eared Fons&Porter quilting magazines in my lap, and search for the perfect quilt that would compliment the beautiful colors. This quilt would then be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, that provides comfort quilts for wounded warriors right out of the field. I’m a Marine Mom to two active duty Marines, and married to a military veteran. Service to our country is a given in our family, and this is my way to give back using my gift of quilting.

I would make a darling baby quilt using your fabric bundle and my embroidry programs. I have tons of baby applique programs to use if I win.
I love batiks and I would love to use these colors in an art quilt.
This fat quarter bundle is absolutely gorgeous. If I would be so lucky to win, I would make a throw size quilt to snuggle under when napping. When you sit/lay with your favorite color, you rest/relax better. I would call it my “therapy quilt”!!
I would like to enter the contest and if I am chosen as a winner I would use these batiks with the Royal Pecock fabric I just ordered to make a quilt with my first batik fabrics. I love batiks but they are so expensive that I always wind up spending my fabric budget on other fabric to add to my stash thus getting more for my money. These colors would work well with the golds and aquas in the peacock fabrics.
I absolutely love this collection! I would use it to make a quilt for my son’s best friends wedding the end of May. I really have to get going on this and winning would be great as now I just have to find the perfect pattern!
I’ve just started planning a wedding quilt for a nephew and his sweetie. Would love to include batiks.
If I were to win this fabric I think I would use it to start sprucing up our guest bedroom. The room has a blue comforter and may need some pillow shams and maybe some new pillow cases. I might even put up a blue quilted wall hanging. I have many ideas.

I would use the beautiful colors of the fat quarters to make a quilt , then donate it to the North Henderson High School Band program as part of their fund raising events- to support their Band program.
