Materials
3 1/4 yards green solid (not 2 yards)

Cutting
From green solid, cut:
10 (8 1/2″-wide) strips. From strips, cut 80 (4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) E rectangles.

Finished Size: 64″ x 80″
Finished blocks: 20 (16″) blocks
Rating: Beginner LEVEL 3

  1. I’ve started the Twists and Turns quilt. All fabric purchased and cut out. When beginning to sew blocks together I found that part of the pattern is incorrect. From the green solid it says to cut 80 (2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) E rectangles. However, those strips should be 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ to make the block the correct size. Now I need to buy another 2 + yards of fabric.
    I feel this correction should be made.
    I took the pattern from the Quilty – Easy Modern Quilts Magazine of Winter 2016.

    1. Hello! Our apologies for the confusion. There is a correction listed on the Quilty website, but should have been included here. I’ve updated this pattern post to include the correction. Here it is:
