  1. I’m at the point where I need to trim my 9-patches. She uses a 6.5″ square in the video, but the pattern says 6 3/8″….also, I tried to trim using my 6.5″ square as shown above, and now all of my squares are all 2″x2″ (no seam allowances). Help! Any thoughts?

    1. Hello! Colleen did indeed trim the 9-patch blocks using a 6-1/2″ square ruler. Colleen trims a very small amount of the block at the 3:50 mark in the video. Since the ruler is larger than the block, you need to find the 6-3/8″ mark on the ruler, and center it on the patchwork. Again, you will only trim a very small amount from each side. This ensures that the triangles that are added to make the 9-patch are set “on point” and go together nicely. Thank you for your comment!
