Fat Quarter Baskets Quilts

There are so many wonderful things about this quilt, we just had to share! Free quilt patterns using fat quarters are the best of both worlds – a free quilt pattern instant download and your favorite precut fabrics. What’s more? This quilt is adorable! Fun basket quilt blocks dance across the quilt top with a fitting quilt border using floral fabrics surrounds and frames them in. The basket blocks are set on point to give this full, bed-size quilt pattern its charming and comfy look. We couldn’t fit all of our favorite quilts into this issue, so we decided to offer Fat Quarter Baskets online. We adore this one! We’re pretty sure you will, too.

Correction: we’ve made a correction to the Fat Quarter Baskets quilt pattern. Find the corrected version here.

  1. Thanks to Lynette Jensen for another beautifully designed quilt. Love the colors and pattern. (can’t wait to start it)
. But most of all Thanks for showing the backing fabric. I’m always curious what was chosen as backing maybe because I seem to struggle with that once I’ve finished a quilt top.

  2. I have been a Lynette fan for years and I remember my excitement in meeting her in Cannon Falls, MN years ago. I am currently piecing an autumn themed quilt using a pattern of hers from that time period. Welcome back to my quilting studio, Lynette.

  3. I like to use quilt patterns as tablecloths. I have been looking for something for May for quite some time. This looks easy and simple. May Baskets for May. Thank you

  4. I’m a long time Lynette Jensen fan, have about eight or nine of her books. So happy to see she’s back even on a limited schedule. Love, love, love her fabrics, have missed them, so glad to see them again. Love this quilt, ready to get a fat quarter bundle and get started.

  5. I have this all cut out. I am in the midst of making the blocks and do not see where you use all 8 (1 1/2 x 5 1/2) C rectangles and all 8 (1 1/2 x 3 1/2) B rectangles. It looks like when I am sewing them I only need 4 of each. Please advise me. Thank you
