Liz Porter and Marianne Fons began quilting together as young women bound by a timeless tradition. Twenty-five years later, Liz and Marianne’s love for quilting and dedication to teach have grown into something neither could have expected: Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting. Their magazine, Love of Quilting, America’s Favorite Quilting Magazine, together with their public television show, have served to educate and encourage quilters from around the world. Liz and Marianne also operate a small retail store in their hometown, Winterset, Iowa, where they first met at a beginners quilt class years ago. Despite their busy schedule from maintaining all of these endeavors, both still find time to quilt and design new patterns, many of which you’ll find in their magazine.
