Use Batting Scraps

Here’s a way to piece leftover batting scraps to use in quilts. Overlap two pieces of batting about 2". Use a long ruler to cut through both layers so they have straight edges. Throw away the waste strips. Cut fusible interfacing into 2"-wide strips. Place interfacing atop the freshly cut batting edges and gently fuse in place using a dry iron. With batting side up, stitch together with a wide zigzag stitch.

You can alway make dog beds for the animal rescue league with the left over batting scraps

Don't throw the small uneven scraps; save them and use them for stuffing.

I also cut my leftover batting into 4", 5" or 6" squares, depending on the size of the leftovers, so they are ready to go when I want to make a rag quilt.
