Table Runner Bars

1/3 yard background fabric
1/2 yard border fabric
1/2 yard backing fabric batting

Go to your closet --- from your 1200 yards of pristine fabric stash pick out the perfect three fabrics --- Ooops, I can’t find anything to go with the background fabric --- make a quick trip to your favorite quilt shop – come home with 10 more yards of PERFECT fabric, and start the selection process over. SLICE - Take your selected fabrics and slice and dice them using an extra sharp rotary cutter into: 10 x 21 inch background fabric 2- 4 inch strips of border fabric 3- 2 1/4 inch strips for binding 1- 18 x 30 backing fabric 1- 18 x 30 batting COMBINE First two ingredients using your favorite straight stitch LAYER your bars – 1 layer of backing fabric 1 layer of batting 1 layer of table runner top COMBINE with - spray glue to keep your layers from shifting ADD your favorite quilting stitches BAKE Using your favorite iron, and LOTS of steam COOL Allow to cool --- cut your table runner into the perfect rectangle FROST With the binding strips SERVE Place the runner on your favorite table and wait for guest to admire.
