Stay-in-Bed Stew

Mix these things together in a casserole dish that has a tight lid.
2 pounds beef stew, cubed
1 can tiny peas if you like them
1 cup sliced carrots
2 chopped onions
1 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper
1 can cream of celery soup (or mushroom or tomato) thinned with
1/2 cup water
1 big raw potato
sliced piece of bay leaf

Put the lid on and put casserole in a 275 oven. Now go back to bed. The stew will cook happily all by itself and be done in 5 hours. Makes 5-6 servings.
