Five Generations of Quilters
Velma Prather Smith (left) and Zelma Prather Weibel (right) are 93-year-old twins who have been quilting since their mother taught them when they were seniors in high school. They have passed along their love of quilting to three more generations. Quilting has enriched their lives with friends and has kept them young. This photo shows them with their latest creation, Infinity Blocks, from the March/April 2005 issue of Love of Quilting.

Barns for Barns
When I saw Country Barns in the September/October 1997 issue of your magazine, I knew I would make it someday because my maiden name is Barnes. I tweaked your house pattern to create rows of country barns and houses. My quilt is backed with flannel to give it extra cozy comfort.
I love your scrappy quilt ideas. Keep up the excellent work!

Northwoods in the South
I have been receiving your magazine since the first issue, and I continually look through back issues for quilting ideas. When my daughter asked for a quilt that was “northwoodsy,” I immediately thought of Northwoods Cabin from the November/December 1997 issue. I added extra borders to make it a queen-size quilt.

50th Anniversary Memories
I made this memory quilt for the 50th wedding anniversary of my sister Delores and her husband Bob. The quilt includes patchwork blocks and photo transfers of them and their growing family.
Keep the issues coming!
