Quilt Recipe Card

Love of Quilting - November/December 2003
One reader suggests: When I find a quilt I want to make, I write down all of the yardages needed on a recipe card. When I am in a quilt shop and see fabric that I want for that quilt, I know how much to buy. After purchasing fabric, I cut a sample and tape it to the card until I have all of the fabric for the quilt. Then I make a copy of the pattern and place everything in a large bag so that it is all in one place when I am ready to start.
