Scrumptous family favorite. We call it Pineapple Cream Cheese Pie.
2 cups sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (28 oz) can crushed pineapple
8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2-9-inch deep dish pie shells
1/2 cup black walnuts, crushed
Cool Whip

Directions: Mix together 1 cup sugar with cornstarch and pineapple; cook until thick, then cool. Blend cream cheese with 1 cup sugar, salt, eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Put cooled pineapple into unbaked pie shells. Add cheese mixture on top and sprinkle top with the crushed nuts. Bake in slow oven preheated to 325 degrees until golden brown, about 1 1/2 hours. Serve with Cool Whip. Number Of Servings:16 Preparation Time:30-45 minutes This has been a Holiday favorite of our family for many years.
