Parmesean Bread

Beverly Shenold

1 packet of Rapid Rise yeast
3-5 tablespoons butter or oleo
3 tablespoons sugar
about 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 ½ cups very warm water parmesan cheese (dry or fresh)
3 cups flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place butter in a 9 x 13 pan along with garlic powder. Place in oven until melted. Mean while mix together yeast, sugar & water. Add flour & mix well. Let dough rest for 5 minutes. Take pan from oven, spoon out one piece of dough at a time (about the size of a golf ball) and on floured surface roll into a cigar shape (you may need to add extra flour to the dough – it is a little sticky) Roll the cigar shape in the butter in the pan, and place at one end of the pan. Repeat until you have used all the dough, and you have a single row of dough in your pan. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese, and bake until golden brown. I bake 24 minutes at 375. ENJOY, QUICK AND EASY ! !
