Keep Extras

When you have cut all the required pieces for a quilt, cut the remaining fabric into strips in widths that you know will be useful to you. Strips widths of 1½”,2″,2½” and 4½” are handy sizes. Store the strips folded in clear shoe boxes labeled with the strip width so you can easily see what you have on hand.
