Iowa Garden Salad

Peel and dice 4 cucumbers-sprinkle with salt and let stand 1 hour. Cut up 2 or more tomatoes, l large green pepper, l large onion and a few stalks of celery. Drain cucumbers and add veggies. Add the following dressing: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup oil. Refrigerate. Keeps well.

I make this when the garden is producing and producing. It will keep as long as two weeks in the refrigerator.
