Hot Dog Soup |
Donna writes, "In memory of my grandmother Florence Mayhugh."
5 lbs. potatoes, peeled and diced
1 large onion, diced
2 lbs. hot dogs, sliced
1 48 oz. can tomato juice
1 can beef broth, optional
Add water and beef broth just until you can see it around the potatoes. Add the tomato juice, then the hot dogs. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 25 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
This is just like vegetable soup, it tastes even better warmed up!
