Hand Basting a Quilt

Diana St-Coeur, Stymiest, New Brunswick, Canada
When I’m ready to baste a quilt, I tape the backing to the floor, then the batting, and finally the quilt top. I slip a marble under the quilt to create a bump so it’s easy to stitch through the quilt without scratching the floor. I roll the marble to wherever I want to baste.
