La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum, 703 S. Second St., La Conner, Wash (MAP)
Description: Regina Benson designs and fabricates art quilts and installation textiles that float and undulate off walls and ceilings. Her specific mark-making techniques are based on ancient processes that she has redesigned to work gently and more environmentally consciously with her own health, the archival quality of her painterly cloth, and our planet. Benson is a full-time studio artist; born in Lithuania, and currently living in Golden, Colorado. Meet her during the opening reception on June 29.
