From Marianne Fons & Liz Porter – January/February 2006

We are so excited about all the great projects and features we have planned for you in 2006, we can hardly stand it! We’ve been
working together for 25 years—making quilts, writing books, hosting TV shows, and creating, for you, the best possible quilting magazine. Our 2006
celebration, however, is not just about our own love of quilting—it’s actually a giant national quilting bee, a gathering of quilters, quilts, techniques, ideas,
and stories that will excite and inspire you more than ever before.
We have special editorial content planned throughout the year. Our November/December issue will be an extra-special
Collector’s Edition with more editorial content than we’ve ever published before. You won’t want to miss it!
Celebrity quilters Charlotte Angotti, Sharon Hultgren, Valori Wells, and Kaye Wood have contributed wonderful, do-able projects in this issue. We know you’ll
enjoy using their designs to make your own quilts, and that you’ll enjoy reading more about these outstanding contributors to the wonderful world of quilting.
Celebrate with us,
