Little Wren Quilt – Wall Hanging

This wall hanging – one of our free quilt patterns as seen in Love of Quilting March/April 2011 – features a purple palette and several Feathered Star quilt blocks. And, you can forget the binding! A scalloped quilt border finishes off this stunning quilt perfectly.

Little Wren - Free Quilt Patterns

See the wren in the middle of the gorgeous Feathered Star in the center of this quilt? Little Wren is a stunning addition to your home décor and is especially lovely during spring. Imagine this wall hanging as a full-size quilt – it would make quite a statement! This free quilt pattern is actually a smaller version of the award-winning quilt, Feathered Friends, by Kathy and Geri McNeil. We’re thrilled to share it with you!

Finished Size: 45½” × 45½”  |  Blocks: Feathered Stars – 1 (22“) & 4 (8”)  |  Rating: Challenging  |  Designed by Kathy McNeil

  1. This is such a pretty quilt and the colors are perfect for my sister. Ever since she was little she loved the color purple. The bird in the center is a wren I may try to find a Robin as she was named for that bird. 🙂

  2. I noticed that the coffee cup quilt pattern had a misspelled word, pessing instead of pressing.
On the little wren quilt pattern, patern was misspelled. Need to use spell checker.

  3. I signed up giving you all the information you wanted and I cannot open the pattern. Every time I try to print it, it says it shows up ready to be printed, but when I hit print, it says it cannot print. Please remove me from you site. Dr. Joyce Miller

  4. It would be nice if the dimensions of the templates would be printed on each template. A 1/16" can make a big difference in how pieces fit together.
