Various size paper sticky dots can be used for templates for small circular appliqué shapes. Stick the dot to the fabric as a pattern; add seam allowances when cutting fabric. After cutting remove and reposition the dot with sticky side up. Turn under the seam allowance and stick to the back of the dot. After stitching the circle in place, cut a slit in the back of the appliqué background fabric to remove the paper dot.
