Coordinate Your Colors

When trying to pick colors to go with a primary design, check the salvage edge. Some materials have a Picture of different solid colors . These values of colors will go with your material. I wish I had known this 10 years ago!

A trick to sewing on adhesive velcro
To sew adhesive Velcro strips on without gumming up your needle, coat the needle with silicone.

Remove wrinkles from polyester batting
To remove wrinkles from polyester batting, blow hot air over the batting with a portable hair dyer set at medium heat.

Stop thread from tangling
To keep thread from tangling and knotting Take a new fabric softener sheet, sandwich the thread between the sheet and pull the thread through the sheet. The thread glides through the fabric and doesn't tangle or knot.
