I always keep a lint roller brush in my sewing room. The two things I use it for mostly is running across my cutting mat, or on my ironing board cover. Little bits of lint and threads are gone easily!

You can also use a used dryer sheet. Heat iron and iron the sheet. Smells great and removes fusible and other residue from the iron.
