Plastic Templates

When I need to make a template, I copy the pattern on sticky-back paper, and then adhere the pattern to plastic. This allows me to skip one step (tracing) to make the template more accurate.

  1. There are many YouTube examples of cutting templates. You must have an acrylic knife to score the plastic (we left paper on the plastic and marged with permanent marker. Next, make several swipes with scoring knife. place the edge you want to cut on a straight edged table and bend tip it breaks. File any roughness with emory board or electric sander (lightly). I am trying to cut a curve so if anyone has done that let me know how you did
