Easy Cutting

Easy Cutting

Before I start a new quilt, I transfer the cutting instructions to a dry erase board. As I cut, I erase that size and move on. It's easier than looking at the instructions in the magazine.

That's a really good tip!
One that I will use as I have found it a challenge to not forget pieces when the quilt has several fabrics. And having to re-read the cutting instructions every time is annoying. I was just using a highlighter to mark the ones completed but I like your idea better! Thanks for sharing.
Dry erase board
I also make two photocopies of me pattern: one for the cutting room and one for hanging above my sewing machine.

This a great tip! I received one of these boards at a recent retreat and hadn't found a purpose for it, but now I can see where it's going to be used a lot. Thank you.
