Antique Quilts
Received the quilt top made by my great-grandmother for my mother's 8th grade graduation. My mother had poor eyesight and never finished it. When I began quilting four years ago I received it from my uncle. I am in the process of hand quilting it, printing it's history on a fabric block for the back. Generations to come will know the path it took to finally be completed. Husband is making me a quilt stand for me to display it.
It is hard to believe that back in the 1900's they had that much artistic talent to create think of that time period would be more traditional....I guess there always is that one talented person that has vision of the future.....LOL
