I use a small table-top-size ironing board with the legs removed for my work surface. It fits across the arms of my recliner and offers a surface not only for my work, but a place for my supplies. I can even use it to stick pins and extra needles in, like a big pin cushion. I can press on it, as well.

I love this technique and enjoyed the demo for the points. Apparently I fell into some rusty habits. Thanks for the reminder. Is the rule of thumb to use thread that matches the top fabric, rather than the base fabric?

I have found that I like the neelde turn applique more than the fusible especially when you are going to wash it and others use it. Thanks
