Girls Day

Quilt by Marinda Stewart.
Girls Day

Girls Day is the ancient Japanese custom of displaying Hina dolls, wishing girls healthy growth and happiness. It is believed that any doll display should be taken down soon after the festival day of March 3 -- otherwise girls might have to wait to get married.

Size: 50" × 72½"

Complete instructions and patterns for this project are available in the September/October 2011 issue of Love of Quilting.
